Queens ChapterWelcome to the web page of the Queens Chapter of the New York State Society for Clinical Social Work. The Queens Chapter covers Queens County (the Borough of Queens in New York City). The Queens Chapter Board convenes at Holliswood Hospital one Sunday per month during the academic year (September - June). After the Board meeting, light refreshments are served while members of the Chapter engage in networking. The monthly education program follows, thereafter, for approximately 90 minutes. The Queens Chapter also conducts, periodically, educational programs in the late afternoons or evenings on weekdays. The Queens Chapter has Education, Membership, Mentorship, Vendorship and Website Committees. Mentorship CommitteeThe Mentorship Committee provides opportunities for MSW students, recent MSW graduates and MSW members who are early in their clinical social work careers to partake in mentorship groups where they can network, discuss topics pertinent to their development as clinical social workers and can receive guidance, support, nurturance and advice to further their professional development as clinical social workers. Vendorship and Managed Care CommitteeThe Vendorship Committee provides information and consultation to assist members of the Chapter in dealing with managed care and other vendorship issues. The chairperson of the Vendorship Committee is a member of the Society's Vendorship Committee, which organizes the Society vendorship related activities. Each chapter has a chapter website coordinator who is a member of the Society’s Website Committee and is responsible to enter their chapter’s news and events onto their chapter’s web page on the Society website.
